Ole Miss football coach Hugh Freeze has added a NJCAA All-American center and a former Mr. Football in the state of Mississippi to the list of players who can participate in spring drills.
Former Petal standout Anthony Alford was officially announced by the school Tuesday, the first day of classes for the spring semester, after weeks of behind-the-scene talk about his arrival.
Joining Alford on the list of mid-year enrollees is former Northwest Mississippi Community College standout Austin Douglas (6-foot-1, 315 pounds). (January 23, 2013, Page 1B)
