Hosting the very same Starkville Yellowjackets squad that eliminated them a year ago en route to a state title, the Chargers returned the favor.
Aided by several early scores, Oxford defeated Starkville 3-1 to advance to the program’s first MHSAA Class 5A state title game Saturday against Pearl.
