Ole Miss can’t hang on to top Mizzou in OT

VIDEO BLOG: The Ole Miss women’s basketball team tied the game with 1.3 seconds remaining but was unable to top Missouri in the extra frame, losing 73-72 at the C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum on Sunday.

After playing just three minutes in the first half due to quick foul trouble, Ole Miss sophomore Tia Faleru tied Valencia McFarland for the team lead with 17 points.

Amber Singletary contributed 12 points and Courtney Marbra, who converted the putback with just 1.3 seconds remaining in regulation, scored 10 points.

Ole Miss returns to the hardwood Thursday with a 6 p.m. tip at Florida that will be televised on CSS.
