Woods steps down as Rangers coach

On the day the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers finished No. 9 in the NJCAA poll, the coach that led them to that point, decided to go in a different direction.

Ricky Woods stepped down from his position as Rangers head football coach after five seasons in Senatobia on Wednesday. He broke the news to his team during a meeting Wednesday afternoon, just four days after the Rangers defeated No. 11 Kilgore 47-36 in the Brazos Valley Bowl. (December 6, 2012, Page 10)
