Rebs fight off cold to silence Knights

The Ole Miss Rebels had a bad cold Saturday afternoon.

With the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in town for the annual SEC/Big East Challenge, Ole Miss couldn’t seem to find its rhythm offensively.

Even while the Rebels missed nearly three-fourths of their free throws in the first half, and shot just over 35 percent from the floor, the Rebels never seemed to go into panic mode.

Aided by a night-and-day second-half performance, the Rebels rallied from a four-point halftime deficit to knock off Rutgers 80-67. (December 3, 2012, Page 1B)
