OM administration wants fans to ‘Lock the Legion’

If there was an immediate sense of letdown from the Ole Miss fan base once it became clear the Rebels would be headed to the BBVA Compass Bowl in Birmingham, Ala., Rebel Nation just proved it has a rather short memory.

Tuesday evening, Ole Miss Senior Associate A.D. for Communications and Marketing Michael Thompson tweeted from his personal account (@mtjrolemiss) Ole Miss had already eclipsed 12,000 tickets sold.

That ever-increasing total more than eclipsed the 10,000 tickets Ole Miss initially committed to in less than three days time and as of Thursday morning the University had sold 13,857 tickets to the public and another 676 to students. (December 6, 2012, Page 10)
