Ole Miss wraps up Week 1 of bowl prep with some fun

VIDEO BLOG: Ole Miss wrapped up its first week of bowl preparation Thursday with a rather unique practice at the Indoor Practice Facility.

The Rebels opened their abbreviated practice with a showdown between the coaching staff and players. In addition, the players all traded numbers with one another (for example, linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche switched with safety Trae Elston and running back Randall Mackey traded with one of the offensive linemen).

The rest of practice featured another spirited scrimmage with the offensive and defensive units facing off.

With the first week of preparation for the BBVA Compass Bowl in the books the Rebels will head home for Christmas before returning Dec. 27 to pick up where they left off.

Below are video interviews with Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze, defensive coordinator Dave Wommack and junior cornerback Charles Sawyer.
