Two local fencers recently showed out at the Regional 5 Youth Circuit held in Houston, Texas on Monday.
Maxmillian Keene, representing Oxford Fencers, placed fifth in the boy’s 14-and-under age group, while Ashni Brown-Talib, representing Oxford Park Commission, placed bronze in the girl’s 10-and-under age group.
Brown-Talib’s finish qualifies her for nationals.
The athletes train at Oxford Fencers, Inc., a United States Fencing Association (USFA) non-profit affiliate. Competition resumes in January. (December 6, 2012, Page 11)
