Water Valley’s seventh- and eighth-grade boys basketball teams defeated Pope Thursday night. The seventh graders won 20-5 thanks to seven points from Tyrece McGuirt.
The eighth grade Chargers won 17-15 and were led by Jack Pritchard’s nine points. Pope won both girls games. Water Valley returns to action Nov. 26 at Coffeeville. (November 9, 2012, Page 8A)
