Second-half spark gets Rebs rolling

Energy and passion are two things that Ole Miss men’s basketball coach Andy Kennedy was looking for from his team in the second half of Tuesday’s game with Coastal Carolina at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum. The Rebels played with marginal passion and energy in the first half and as a result, they trailed the Chanticleers 39-36 at the break.

Thankfully for Kennedy’s sake, and the rest of the Rebels, newcomer Marshall Henderson has plenty of energy and passion for the rest of the team. Not only did the junior college transfer lead the Rebels again on the scoring ledger with 27 points, his personality seemed to energize the Rebels, who went on to defeat the Cliff Ellis-led Chanticleers 90-72.
