Rebel fans flood field after victory

It’s been a long four years for Ole Miss fans.

From the moment Dan Mullen was hired as head coach at Mississippi State he made a point to poke and prod the Rebels and their fans. Mullen did more than just talk the talk, however, and his teams responded by walking the walk and claiming three straight Egg Bowls.

Saturday evening, Ole Miss’ fans showed just how excited they were to snap the streak when they flooded over the barriers that surround the playing surface of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium to celebrate the victory alongside the players and staff.

Meanwhile, many Mississippi State fans appeared to leave the game at various points during the fourth quarter. (November 26, 2012, Page 1B)
