Kates-Taylor, Edwards accepting expanded roles

Ole Miss’ recent coaching change has forced everyone on the staff to update their resumes.

Those who will be courtside tonight when the Lady Rebels open against Southeastern Louisiana, all seem to have taken the changes in stride and are prepared for the upcoming 2012-13 season.

Former top assistant Brett Frank will be Ole Miss’ active head coach moving forward, while Rebecca Kates-Taylor now takes on an expanded assistant coach position that will involved organizing the defense and the team’s recruiting efforts. Taja Edwards, who was only the team’s video coordinator, will now be courtside as an assistant coach and will help in numerous areas in addition to the duties that pertained to her former position.

Team representatives have confirmed the trio will be Ole Miss’ only coaches during the duration of the season. (November 9, 2012, Page 8A)
