Water Valley’s middle school Blue Devils earned a basketball sweep over Charleston Monday night.
The seventh-grade boys remained undefeated (3-0 overall) with a 17-14 win, while the eighth-grade Devils won their first game of the season, 18-10, in the nightcap.
Tyrece McGuirt led the seventh-grade Blue Devils with nine points, while Jayvon Morgan had seven.
Jack Pritchard led the eighth-graders, who fell to the Tigers last Thursday, with 16 points.
Water Valley’s seventh-grade girls lost 22-4, while the eighth-grade girls lost 10-4.
All four teams return to action Thursday at Pope beginning at 5 p.m. (November 6, 2012, Page 7)
