Another strong season on the gridiron has brought postseason honors for area players. Coaches from around the state met this morning at the Mississippi Association of Coaches office in Jackson to announce the annual rosters for the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star game and the Bernard Blackwell All-Star game.
Oxford quarterback Parker Adamson, who has helped guide the Chargers to an 8-0 mark and fifth-place ranking in the state, made the annual Miss-Ala. game. He will be joined in the prestigious game by teammate Xavier Pegues and Lafayette’s Brandon Mack. Pegues made the team at defensive end, while Mack made the squad as a defensive back.
The annual Mississippi-Alabama game will be played Dec. 15 at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala. Eupora’s Junior Graham will be the head coach for the Mississippi team this year. (October 17, 2012, Page 6)
