If there was ever a time for Jeff Scott to make a dramatic play that helped lift the Ole Miss Rebels to their first Southeastern Conference win in 17 games, the last five minutes was as good as any. The junior running back from Miami punctuated his already strong performance in Saturday’s 41-20 win over the Tigers with a highlight reel 55-yard reception for a touchdown at the 5:02 mark of the fourth quarter.
The highlight was the spin move he made as he was being brought down by two Auburn defenders and his ability to roll over the two and keep running for a touchdown, which increased the Rebels’ lead from 27-20 to 34-20 with 5:02 left in the game. (October 15, 2012, Page 2B)
