The Oxford Chargers and Lady Chargers competed recently in the Tupelo Invitational.
Callie Mayo led the Lady Chargers with a time of 15 minutes, 50.20 seconds. Swayze Elliott (16:05) and Gabrielle Joyce (16:56) followed her. Tristan Orman led the Chargers with a 17:29. JD Hankins (18:12) and Sage Mullins (18:13) finished second and third. The junior varsity Chargers were paced by Kyle Rock’s 12:25. John Yoste (13:01) and Herriman Abernathy (13:33) followed. Margaret Adams led the junior varsity Lady Chargers with a 14:00. Claire Stevens had a 15:00.90, while Arden Davis had a 15:22. (October 26, 2012, Page 7A)
