Lafayette’s Homecoming court wasn’t the only thing that shined Friday evening.
Led by an unrelenting defensive effort, the Lafayette Commodores treated the capacity crowd at William L. Buford Stadium to a lopsided 35-6 victory against the Tunica-Rosa Fort Lions.
Against an athletic Lions team that possesses the ability to stretch the field through the air or on the ground, Lafayette (7-1 overall, 2-0 Region 2-4A) made sure from the opening kickoff that the visitors never felt comfortable. (October 8, 2012, Page 3B)
