After some bouncing back and forth, an addition to Oxford’s Demolition by Neglect ordinance has been approved by both preservation boards. The ordinance will allow the city to make simple, basic repairs to homes located in a historical district to help prevent further decay if the homeowner fails to do so. The cost of repairs will be then charged back to the homeowner in the form of a lien on their property. (October 11, 2012, Page 2)
