‘Dores ground Vikings’ passing attack

ECRU — The pre-game fireworks were about the only explosive display the home town North Pontotoc fans enjoyed Thursday night.

With home field advantage in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs on the line, the Lafayette Commodores overcame a sluggish start and rolled to a 38-0 victory to ruin the Vikings’ senior night.

By all accounts, Thursday’s regular season finale was a huge success for the Commodores (9-2 overall, 4-1 Region 2-4A). (October 26, 2012, Page 6A)
