Two touchdown passes from quarterback Ben Bianco weren’t enough to lift the Chargers past Lafayette in Tuesday’s eighth-grade football game at William L. Buford Stadium.
Oxford lost 14-12, the Chargers first setback of the season. Bianco’s first touchdown covered 42 yards and went to K.J. Gipson. In the fourth quarter, Bianco found Ja’Quavious Lloyd for a 22-yard touchdown. Bianco finished the game 13-for-26 for 178 yards. Preston Perkins ended the night with seven catches for 105 yards. Oxford returns to action Tuesday at home against Grenada. (October 11, 2012, Page 9)
