The identities of the two people killed in Saturday morning’s wreck on Highway 6 have been released.
Sarah Wheat, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene while her brother, John Wheat, 30, died later at The Med in Memphis from his injuries, according to Lafayette County Coroner Rocky Kennedy. The brother and sister were both students at the University of Mississippi.
The wreck occurred at about 11 a.m. Saturday on Highway 6 near the Highway 7 ramp.
