Ava Bonds, long-time OHS choral music director, dies

Friends recall Ava Bonds, 68, the long-time choral music director who retired in 2010 from Oxford High School. She died this morning at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. (October 18, 2012, Page 2)

      Ava had been a great friend to my brother, Victor Newell since he has lived in Oxford. It was a joy to get to meet her,visit in her home and at FBC Oxford. She was a true lady in every sense of the word. May God’s comfort be with Eddie and Ava’s family at this time. Will keep you in my prayers.
