Oxford residents perform well in NWCC golf tournament

A handful of Oxford residents were members of teams that finished at least third in the annual Northwest Mississippi Community College Foundation Golf Tournament.

Greg Vaughn was on a team that finished third in the championship flight, while Shae Orrell was a member of a team that finished first in the tournament flight. Daniel Spears won the Closest to the Pin contest. Longest Drive contest winner was Hugh Brown, who played baseball at NWCC. Proceeds from the golf tournament benefit the Northwest Foundation, which provides scholarship to students based on financial need, program of study, residency or other criteria. (September 20, 2012, Page 10)
