No. 14 Texas rolls to win over Rebels

Hugh Freeze’s plan of keeping Saturday’s epic game with No. 14 Texas close and allowing the near record crowd of 61,797 at Ole Miss’ Vaught-Hemingway Stadium to help his Rebels late never materialized.

Instead of heading into the fourth quarter down just a field goal or a touchdown, the Rebels trailed the Longhorns by 28 (52-24) with no hope of ever catching them thanks to his defense’s inability to slow quarterback David Ash or a running game that totaled 350 yards overall. (September 17, 2012, Page 1B)
