Moncrief leads the Southeastern Conference and ranks 11th in the nation with 106.7 receiving yards per game. The Raleigh native has 18 receptions for 320 yards and has caught a 50-plus yard touchdown pass in each of the first three games. He is the first Rebel receiver to catch a touchdown in three straight games since Mike Wallace in 2008.
The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, the creator and sponsor of the Biletnikoff Award, presented annually to college football’s outstanding receiver, announced the addition of eight players to watch list today.
Foundation selection chairman Ritchie Pickron stated, “Eight players have distinguished themselves as receivers several games into the young college football season and merit inclusion on the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award.”
The other players added to the list are Boston College’s Alex Amidon, Middle Tennessee’s Anthony Amos, New Mexico State’s Austin Franklin, Arizona’s Austin Hill, Penn State Allen Robinson, Syracuse’s Marcus Sales and Western Michigan’s Jaime Wilson. (September 18, 2012, Page 7)
