Mack does it all for LHS in Shannon win

Lafayette knew it would have its hands full heading into Friday’s Class 4A showdown against Shannon.

The Commodores’ premonition proved to be spot on as the home team had to slug it out with the Red Raiders in the second half to pull out a 44-25 victory.

Leading Lafayette to the win was senior Brandon Mack. At quarterback, Mack completed 6 of 12 passes for 104 yards, rushed for 106 yards and accounted for three scores.

Defensively, Mack pulled down one of Lafayette’s four interceptions. It’s that all-around performance that earned Mack his first Player of the Week honor of 2012. (September 18, 2012, Page 6)
