Senatobia may be 45 miles away from Oxford, but it will still feel like a Homecoming for several former area football players who are members of Itawamba Community College. Two former Water Valley Blue Devils — Chris Conard and C.J. Jackson — joined former Lafayette standouts Tyler Jackson, D.Q. Reynolds and D’Andre Greer as part of the 2012 signing class.
Another former area player — Oxford’s Tre Carothers — is a sophomore member of the No. 20 Indians (3-1 overall, 1-1 in MACJC North Division), who enter Thursday’s game against the No. 4 Rangers coming off a 14-12 loss to Holmes. (September 26, 2012, Page 6)
