The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals announced recently the OLHS will be one of several shelters around the county to receive funding from the newly established Carroll Petrie Foundation Dog Rescue Project, a new $1 million initiative that will fund treatments and services for shelter dogs to help transport dogs from overcrowded shelters to other rescue organizations. (September 19, 2012, Page 3)
