Lafayette’s 34-game winning streak may have come to an end earlier in the month, but the Commodores’ winning streak in Region 2-4A play still remains despite the loss to Oxford.
Lafayette has won the last three region titles and has rolled past teams from the region in the process. The Commodores (5-1 overall) begin region play Friday at improved Lewisburg. Lafayette is coming off an impressive 41-6 win at Pontotoc and coach Eric Robertson said he feels good about his team heading into the “second season.” (September 27, 2012, Page 6)
