LHS volleyball improves to 6-2

The Lafayette volleyball team improved to 6-2 on the year with a 3-2 (20-25, 25-23, 27-25, 20-25, 15-5) victory at Senatobia on Tuesday.

Janae Westbrook had a team-high five kills. Rae Drewrey led the team with five aces and also chipped in four kills. Moesha Phillips contributed  three kills and three digs to the winning effort.

Defensively, Holly Robinson was all over the court for Lafayette, racking up a team-best 13 digs to go along with 21 made serves and two aces. Kendall Glass also contributed to the defensive effort, assisting on three blocks while also racking up three solo blocks.

Kylie Glass also contributed three kills, two block assists and one solo block. Lafayette returns to the court Monday to host Water Valley at 5 p.m. (August 22, 2012, Page 7)
