Hill looking for his team to avoid turnovers, miscues in opener against Grenada

If there is one thing Oxford High coach Johnny Hill wants to do in this year’s season opener compared to 2011 it’s not turn the ball over. Five turnovers, and some key penalties, prevented OHS from securing a win over Grenada on the road last year. Oxford ended up losing 16-15 to GHS in a game that had a controversial ending due to clock complications on the part of the referees.

Hill said Friday’s season opener against Grenada will come down to which team blocks, tackles, executes and protects the football. (August 16, 2012, Page 1B)
