Week 2 doesn’t get any easier for the area’s football teams tonight.
Lafayette will look to build on its close victory over Class 6A Tupelo with a home game against Greenwood, while Oxford hopes to carry momentum over from its narrow victory over Grenada with a home matchup against the always athletic Charleston Tigers.
Coming off of a lopsided win over Independence, the Water Valley Blue Devils will travel to Coffeeville for the annual Railroad Trophy Rivalry game.
All three games are set for 7:30 p.m. kickoffs.
Oxford can be heard on 95.5 FM, Lafayette on 93.7 FM and Water Valley on 105.5 FM. Oxford’s game will also be replayed on Metrocast Channel 97 Monday at 6 p.m. (August 24, 2012, Page 6A)
