Ole Miss will play its first three games under the lights of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, as kickoffs are set at 6 p.m. for both Central Arkansas and UTEP and 8:15 p.m. for Texas. The times were announced this morning by the Southeastern Conference.
In the official launch of the Hugh Freeze era at Ole Miss, the Sept. 1 matchup with UCA will be available in a pay-per-view telecast from TeleSouth Communications, Inc., while the Sept. 8 encounter with UTEP will be aired on FSN. The much anticipated visit from Texas on Sept. 15 will be shown on ESPN.
As announced earlier, the Rebels’ road game at Tulane on Sept. 22 will get underway at 11 a.m. at the Louisiana Superdome, with FSN televising the contest.
Cable and satellite availability for the UCA pay-per-view will be announced at a later date. ESPN Gameplan/ESPN3.com will have the season opener in outside markets, but the game will be blacked out in Mississippi, Arkansas and Memphis.
Season tickets remain on sale and fans can secure their seats by visiting OleMissFB.com or calling 888-REB-TKTS (732-8587). (July 16, 2012, Page 6)
