Thursday’s obituaries

  • Sandra Rea Bradley — 70, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at her home near Oxford. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories at the funeral home. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 this evening at the funeral home.
  • James Otice Chastain III — 86, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012, near his home in Coffeeville. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Coffeeville Church of Christ. Visitation will be from noon until service time at the church. Seven Oaks Funeral Home of Water Valley is in charge of arrangements.
  • Minnie Lee Fuller — 72, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Oxford-University Methodist Church, with burial to follow in Providence U.M. Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at  Providence U.M. Church. Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home in Oxford is in charge of arrangements.
  • Ernest Hill — 91, died Monday, July 16, 2012, at Graceland Care Center in Oxford. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at East St. Peter’s MB Church in Oxford. Burial will follow in East St. Peter’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service at the church. Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
  • James Joiner — 64, died Friday, July 13, 2012, at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Harrisonville M.B. Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home in Oxford is in charge of arrangements.
  • Darlynn Pegues — 48, died Monday, July 16, 2012, at The Med in Memphis. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Oasis Church of All Nations. Burial will follow in the Springfield M.B. Church Cemetery in Abbeville. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Oasis Church of All Nations. Hodges-Freeman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.
  • Amanda Spence — 68, died today at her home in Abbeville. Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home in Oxford.
