Ole Miss picked up its 16th and 17th verbal pledges for the 2013 signing class within 24 hours of each other. Thursday, Canton offensive lineman Daronte Bouldin picked the Rebels over Mississippi State. Today, Grenada athlete Trey Bledsoe committed.
Bouldin, a 6-foot-4 1/2, 310-pound lineman, has been leaning toward Ole Miss for several months and his coach at Canton, Peter Brown, said last month in the EAGLE that he felt Bouldin wanted to play college in the state.
Bouldin is considered one of the top offensive linemen in the state this season and the second OL pledge for the Rebels, joining Byhalia’s Davion Johnson (6-4, 315) in that category.
Rivals.com considers Bouldin a three-star lineman and the ninth-best player in Mississippi. Scout.com also has Bouldin listed as a three-star recruit in addition to being the 76th-best lineman in the country. (July 20, 2012, Page 6A)
