Lartigue hopes to cash in on Rebs’ success with catchers

During Mike Bianco’s tenure at Ole Miss he has seen a long list of catchers drafted and sign professional contracts.

From current Ole Miss recruiting coordinator Carl Lafferty (drafted in the 20th round of the 2001 Major League Baseball First-Year Players Draft by the Florida Marlins) to Kyle Henson (12th round, 2011), Bianco has had six starting catchers drafted.

Wednesday, the standout catcher at Southaven High committed to the Rebels. (July 20, 2012, Page 7A)
