QB Stoudt leaves OM football team

Due to health-related issues, Zack Stoudt’s Ole Miss football career has come to an end. He will remain a student at the University.

“While Zack will no longer be a part of our program, we are glad that he will continue to pursue his degree from Ole Miss. We wish him the best,” Rebel head coach Hugh Freeze said.

A senior from Dublin, Ohio, Stoudt saw action in six games, starting four, at quarterback for the Rebels in 2011 after transferring from Iowa Western Community College. He completed 58-of-120 passes for 559 yards with two touchdowns and guided Ole Miss to a victory over Southern Illinois.

The returners
The Rebels now have three scholarship quarterbacks on the roster in freshman Maikhail Miller sophomore Bo Wallace, junior Barry Brunetti. Sophomore Evan Ingram and junior Robert Ratliff are also on the team.

Senior Randall Mackey has played quarterback for Ole Miss, but was moved to receiver during the spring season. (June 7, 2012, Page 2B)
