It was far from pretty, but the No. 24 Rebels came away from Wednesday’s non-conference game with a lopsided win.
Following a delay due to scattered rain showers that soaked the playing field, Ole Miss pounded out 12 hits en route to an 11-5 victory over Murray State at Oxford-University Stadium.
For a team that scored just five runs in the last two games, Wednesday’s offensive outburst was more than welcomed — especially after the Thoroughbreds started off the game with a four-run cushion. (May 3, 2012, Page 6)
