Lewis stepping down as ‘Dores coach

BLOG: Greg Lewis confirmed to the Oxford EAGLE this morning that he is stepping down from his post as Lafayette baseball coach to take an administrative position at the high school.The Commodores are coming off of a run to the MHSAA Class 4A North Half series, capping one of their more impressive seasons considering their youth.

Lewis said he informed the team of his decision Wednesday.

In five seasons after taking over for Richy Harrelson, Lewis posted a 92-52 overall record and made the playoffs each season.
