Division foes square off in 4A quarterfinals

The depth and talent of Division 2-4A is firmly on display in the latest round of the MHSAA baseball playoffs. Three of the remaining four teams left in the 4A playoffs hail from the division that includes Lafayette, New Albany, Lewisburg, Senatobia, North Pontotoc and Tunica-Rosa Fort.

LHS and New Albany will meet in one of the quarterfinal matchups that begin Friday night, while Lewisburg, the No. 1 seed from the division, takes on Cleveland. The winners will meet in next week’s North Half title series and many believe it will be an All-Division 2-4A final. (May 3, 2012, Page 6)
