Rainy conditions at Bobby Holcomb Field on Tuesday were only able to slow, not stop, the Oxford Chargers and Lady Chargers in the annual Division 2-5A meet. Both teams won the respective team titles despite the weather that slowed the track for running events.
The Lady Chargers garnered 123.5 points to win the title, while the Chargers finished with 114 points. New Hope was second in the girls portion of the meet with 61 points, while West Point was second in the boys meet with 47.
OHS also hosted the 1-5A meet Tuesday. Center Hill won both titles in that meet with Hernando finishing second. (April 18, 2012, Page 8)
