North Mississippi Regional Center may soon feel the effects of a report issued in December 2011 by the Department of Justice that found Mississippi was in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act by serving persons with intellectual disabilities at large residential facilities operated by the Department of Mental Health, rather than in smaller community settings. So break up over 200 patient/residents, have staffing at these smaller community settings will double up employee’s that work for the state, or don’t double up and watch all the suffering by patients/residents because their physical disabilities are pushed aside for their intellectual abilities. I see a big price tag comming no mater what….
