Before it could hold a public hearing on whether to close a section of County Road 503, the Lafayette County Board of Supervisors first had to determine just where the road ceases to be public — a question in contention by landowners along the road. The board approved Monday closing a portion of CR 503 in Harmontown, which technically had not been considered a county road for years. (April 6, 2012, Page 2A)
