Lafayette rallied from an early two-run deficit by scoring five runs in the top of the fifth inning of a 6-2 win over Senatobia Thursday night.The victory gave LHS a season sweep of the Warriors, who lost 3-1 to the the Commodores on Monday night. LHS (8-10 overall, 3-3 in Division 2-4A) strung together a handful of hits and a hitter batter in the fifth to secure the victory. Luke Stanley had two hits, including a double, and three RBIs in the victory for the Commodores. Hunter Bishop had two hits, including a double, in the win, while John Murphree, Eli Murphree and Tyler Mize each had a hit an RBI. Stanley started the game and went the distance to record the victory. He faced 29 batters and only gave up two hits, while none of the two runs were earned. Stanley also had five strikeouts against no walks and two hit batters. Lafayette returns to action Tuesday for a varsity-only doubleheader against Tunica-Rosa Fort.
