Oxford & University Community Green Week 2012 Schedule of events Sunday 5 p.m.: Green Week kick-off dinner: Vegetarian potluck dinner at Honey Bee Bakery  Tuesday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Gardening advice with Felder Rushing at the Oxford Garden Center 6 p.m.: Adult recycled art craft at the Lafayette County and Oxford Public Library, space is limited 7 to 9 p.m.: Art Crawl and Powerhouse Sculpture Garden dedication, Powerhouse Community Arts Center and galleries throughout Oxford. Wednesday 3:30 p.m.: Newspaper basket weaving for children 5 and up at the Lafayette County and Oxford Public Library 5:30 p.m.: Sustainability Leadership Awards ceremony and Green Week keynote speakers: Powerhouse Community Arts Center 7:30 p.m.: Eco-fashion show at the Powerhouse Thursday 10 to 2 p.m.: Sustainability Fair, University of Mississippi Student Union Plaza Saturday, April 21 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Sustainable Living by Design at Insight Park, tours and Green Expo 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Family Activity Day at the University Museum. Introduce children to their wild neighbors with wildlife photographer Stephen Kirkpatrick. Sunday All Day: Earth Day in the Park will have events at the Lafayette County & Oxford Public Library, Oxford Skate Park and Oxford Community Garden. Events include gardening and yoga workshops, children’s tea party featuring “It’s Earth Day with Little Critter.” and Double Decker tours, plot-to-plate picnic, music and more.
