NEW ORLEANS — Ole Miss’ Terrance Henry and Murphy Holloway said fatigue wasn’t a factor in Saturday’s 65-53 loss to Vanderbilt in the semifinals of the Southeastern Conference Tournament. Their stats following the Rebels’ third game in three days at the New Orleans Arena said something completely different.
Henry and Holloway didn’t crack double digits in scoring in the loss and neither one was able to record an offensive rebound in a setback that dropped the Rebels to 20-13 on the year and sent Vanderbilt on to the title game Sunday that ended with the Commodores defeating No. 1 Kentucky 71-64.
