If Ole Miss plays with as much energy and hustle as it has the last six games of the season, then the Rebels should be in position to advance past the first round of the Men’s National Invitation Tournament.
There is still no guarantee the No. 2 seed Rebels (20-13) will beat the No. 7 Illinois State Redbirds (20-13) tonight when the two meet at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum, but a lackluster effort against a team looking to knock off a Southeastern Conference team would likely turn things in favor of the Redbirds.
