Two deep teams, one led by the nation’s best high jumper in Justin Fondren and the other led by a bevy of returners that have won back-to-back state championships, are what Oxford track coaches Scott Kendricks and Jamie Perkins have to work with this spring.
The year begins Friday for the two squads at the annual EAGLE Invitational at Bobby Holcomb Field.
Some 12 teams will be in Oxford to compete in the event, including Lafayette and some other strong teams from around North Mississippi. (March 8, 2012, Page 6)
