WATER VALLEY — A fast start to Monday’s game with Magnolia Heights for the Water Valley Blue Devils at Blue Devil Field ended up being marred in the late stages of the game. The Chiefs overcame an early 4-1 deficit by scoring a run in the top of the fourth and four more in the fifth to post a 6-4 win. After collecting five hits and running around the base paths with ease in the first three innings, Water Valley (3-7 overall) didn’t garner a hit in the last four frames and only had one player advance past first.
