Barber regroups, leads OMS past Tigers

Oxford Middle School pushed its unbeaten streak to five games Monday.

Despite a slow start, the Chargers eventually out-matched the visiting South Panola Tigers at Edwin Moak Field to the tune of a 9-2 win.

Oxford starter Jason Barber went from walking the first two batters of the game on eight straight pitches to retiring the final seven Tigers in order.

Four of the final six batters were retired via strikeout. (March 27, 2012, Page 11)
